"Nice place to stay!": Note 4/5. Avis write in may 2012.
My husband and I have traveled extensively, and especially love Paris. This was our first stay at the Hotel des Duex Continuents and I was originally concerned after reading some of the reviews. We, however, found our room clean every day (we stayed four nights) lots of hot water and a very accommodating staff who went above and beyond to help us after my wallet and camera were stolen from my purse on the street. The hotel was fortunately contacted by a store owner who found the wallet in a gutter on the street and were kind enough to make arrangements for my husband and I to pick it up. I can't say enough about the service and staff and would not hesitate to stay there on our next trip (which I hope will be soon). Very kind people and a delightful place to stay. Also, the breakfast was wonderful!
"Friendly hotel in an unbeatable location": Note 4/5. Avis write in junary 2012.
One look at the map teaches that this hotel is perfectly located both for the Quartier Latin and for proximity to other parts of Paris that feature on the tourist menu. The hotel associates itself with the signing in the Rue Jacob of the treaty between America and England confirming the former's independence and has period allure. The staff is friendly and helpful, Our room and bathroom by Parisian standards were ample and the bed was good. A favorable rate found on the hotel website gave us excellent value for money. We had two criticisms: the bathroom shower required treatment for the familiar fungus that tends to inhabit the cement between (in this case marble) wall tiles and the breakfast baguettes and juice could have been better.
"Great location" Note 4/5. Avis write in 2011.
They gave us a triple room on the 5th floor with a street view. The bathroom was big, the room was quaint. The location for me, an architect, was the best. We walked everywhere. The stores and galleries around the hotel are worth a visit. Near everything we wanted to do in Paris. Clean and comfortable. The street is quiet and there were more French around us than tourists!
