The Lutetia Arenas, built at the end of the first century after Jesus Christ, remained in activity till the end of the 3rd century, moment of the first destruction of Lutetia.
Free stones were, then, used for building the foundations of the enclosure of the city where the people had taken refuge.

Place for exhibitions and struggles between animals, the Lutetia Arenas were used for also dramas.
Once the restoring has been made, the old receptacle Saint Victor, located behind the roman ruins, was tranformed in a gerden called Square of the Capitan, from the name of doctor Capitan, who, during the 1st world war began the restoring of the Arenas.
