In 1854, three scientists obtained from the emperor Napoleon III, 15 hectares with the Wood of Boulogne to acclimatize there animal species which can give with advantage their force, their flesh, their wool, their products of any kind has industry and with the trade.
The Jardin d'Acclimatation was inaugurated on october 6, 1854.
Located in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris XVI district, near Porte Maillot and Neuilly sur Seine.
